Elan touch panel remote controlImagine ...

You are sitting in your brand new, state-of-the-art Home Theater ... you reach over and touch a single button on your remote control ... and your new system comes to life!

How does this improve my quality of life ?

  • Remote control systems by AllMedia Custom Video & Sound can make my life so much more comfortable.
  • With the touch of a single button I set in motion a string of commands that have been custom programmed to do exactly what I ask and it's all behind the scenes.
  • All of the functions of multiple remote controls can be combined into one programmable touch panel control that becomes the command center for my entire system and I am its Commander! I no longer have to fumble for the right remote and try to remember which buttons to push.
  • When the show is over, I simply push "System Off" and leave the room. My system's components will turn off, reduce the volume automatically and even turn off the lights after I've left the room.
  • With an AllMedia Custom Video & Sound Remote Control System, all of my equipment can be hidden from view in closets or cabinets and I can still control everything, even from another room!
  • Button labels like: "DVD Movie", "VHS Movie", "CNN", "Disney", "ESPN", "Game", "E-mail" or just "Watch TV", give me complete command of all of this incredible technology by simply telling my system what I want!

How does this system work?

For the technically minded ...

  • All control systems today use either Infrared (IR), Radio Frequency (RF) or both to achieve reliable control of your components.
  • Both types of systems are custom programmed to control your specific equipment in just the right way to bring about reliable control of all system functions. These devices effectively replace all of your components' individual remote controls allowing you to relax and enjoy the entertainment rather that go searching for the right remote!
  • An AllMedia Custom Video & Sound Remote Control System controller can be handheld, tabletop, or wall mounted; wired or wireless; a keypad with buttons or full color video touch panel. It all depends on your needs and your budget.
  • Infrared systems require an unobstructed line of sight from the remote control device to a receiver placed somewhere in the room (usually above your TV Screen). Infrared systems are generally less costly than RF systems.
  • Radio Frequency (RF) systems are not bound by the "line of sight" limitations of infrared (IR) systems and can be reliably operated at greater distances from your equipment B even from other rooms in your home.
  • For the absolute highest reliability, a hard-wired system is generally recommended but in many cases unnecessary.
